Headquartered in Vancouver, B.C. Ocean Wise was born out of the Vancouver Aquarium and has conservation and education programs across Canada. Ocean Wise develops and delivers evidence-based programs that address the most pressing threats facing marine ecosystems. We conduct scientific research and monitoring, restore critical marine habitats, and work alongside Indigenous Nations, governments, businesses, and local communities to create lasting conservation solutions.
Our initiatives include restoring kelp forests in British Columbia waters, protecting whales from ship-strikes, reducing plastic pollution from source to shore, and inspiring the next generation of ocean leaders through immersive education programs.
