Starting a New Life in Canada is Hard
There are over 82.5 million forcibly displaced people around the world – the most in recorded human history. Thousands of refugees arrive in BC every year seeking a new a life and safety without persecution for themselves and their families.
MOSAIC created the Refugee Welcome Fund to provide essential supports for newly arriving refugees. This includes help getting housing, emergency medical and dental care, counselling and trauma support, work training and skills development, digital support and other necessities for families, including children and youth attending school. These are basic needs that make people feel secure and valued in their new country.
By contributing to the Refugee Welcome Fund, we can champion their right to seek safety, help build their economic and social inclusion and support their necessities of life. You are honouring the courage and perseverance of refugees.
