Developing a Community Response Model to ensure youth receive the full continuum of care they require to heal, move forward and lead healthy, and productive lives.
COMMUNITY RESPONSE MODEL
#NotInMyCity is working with Children’s Services, the Calgary Police Service, Hull Services, McMan Family Services, Boys and Girls Club, and Alberta Health Services - Mental Health and Addictions to develop and pilot a Community Response Model to support adolescent victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Based on research into the best practices of successful programs, frameworks and models throughout North America, the Community Response Model will provide rapid, community based wrap around services to vulnerable youth requiring help and support.
Funding will play a significant role in #NotInMyCity’s ability to continue our critical facilitative role with development, implementation, and monitoring of the Community Response Model to ensure that no youth slips through the cracks.
